Watch: The Fiscal Outlook After the Debt Limit Deal

The bipartisan Fiscal Responsibility Act, signed into law last month, was the largest deficit reduction legislation enacted in over a decade. But how much did it change the country's fiscal landscape, and what will it mean for the nation's long-term fiscal outlook?

On Thursday, June 29th, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget hosted a virtual event, The Fiscal Outlook After the Debt Limit Deal. Marc Goldwein, the Committee's senior vice president and senior policy director, discussed the Fiscal Responsibility Act, what it means for the budget, and what we learned from the Congressional Budget Office's Long-Term Budget Outlook released on Wednesday, June 28th. Marc took questions from the audience as well.
