McCrery-Pomeroy SSDI Solutions Conference

On August 4, the McCrery-Pomeroy SSDI Solutions Initiative, a project of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, hosted a conference in Washington, DC on improving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). The program, which provides support to millions of workers with disabilities and their families, faces insolvency of its trust fund in 2016. The event featured remarks from Sen. Orrin Hatch, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, and presentations and discussion by a variety of experts on ideas to enhance the program and strengthen its finances.
