Budget Process Reform - Senate Perspectives

Just before summer recess, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Mike Enzi put forward a set of budget process reform recommendations. Chairman Enzi kicked off the event with a keynote followed by a panel of experts who discussed Enzi's recommendations in the areas of Senate budget procedures, biennial budgeting, a budget concepts commission, and portfolio budgeting.

Earlier this year both the Senate and House Budget Committees held hearings and showed interest in moving forward with legislation to reform the budget process.
