2023 Budget Bash Reception: Celebrating Our Commitment to Fiscal Responsibility
On Wednesday, September 13, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget hosted our annual reception at the Observatory at America's Square. The evening featured an outdoor reception overlooking the Capitol, where we welcomed over 300 people to celebrate the Committee's work. Among the attendees were 28 Members of Congress, members of the media, Congressional and government agency staff, policy experts, business leaders, and other DC stakeholders.
Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget President Maya MacGuineas provided brief opening remarks thanking all of those in attendance. She then turned the event over to the organization's co-chairs Mitch Daniels, Leon Panetta, and Tim Penny, each of whom applauded the work the organization has been doing to both educate the public and impact the current debates surrounding the federal budget.
