Tax Economist

Corey Husak

Corey Husak is the Tax Economist for the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, where he researches and analyzes the effects of revenue policies on the federal budget and on the economy. He previously led Senator Bob Casey’s (D-PA) economic, tax and labor policy work on the Finance and HELP Committees. Prior to that, Corey worked at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, where he managed government and external relations, and worked on tax and labor policy issues. There he also published original research and analysis on tax evasion, the minimum wage, self-employment, and other policy issues, while speaking to press and policymakers about how to create stronger, more equitable economic growth.

Corey earned his MPP from the University of Chicago, his BA from William Jewell College, and also previously worked for the Corn Refiners Association, the Office of the CFO of Washington DC, Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO), and as a teacher in Phuket, Thailand. Contact him at husak@crfb.org.
