Scoring the Presidential Tax Plans and Understanding their Fiscal Impacts

On March 10, 2016, experts affiliated with The Tax Policy Center, The Tax Foundation, and Citizens for Tax Justice discussed their detailed work to model the budgetary and economic impacts of many of the tax plans put forth by candidates running for President in 2016. We hosted the presentation and discussion on the various plans, how they have been scored, their effects on the economy, and their effects on the nation's bottom line. Maya MacGuineas, President of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, provide opening remarks. Jeanne Sahadi, Senior Writer at CNN Money, moderated. The panelists were Kyle Pomerleau, Director of Federal Projects, The Tax Foundation; Bob McIntyre, Director, Citizens for Tax Justice; and Dr. Len Burman, Director, The Tax Policy Center.
