Panel Discusses Prospects of Government Shutdown

On Friday, a panel discussion between Democratic and Republican staff directors of the House Budget Committee and CRFB president Maya MacGuineas focused on current budget negotiations and the likelihood of a government shutdown next week after the current CR expires on Friday March 4. Maya MacGuineas argued that lawmakers likely will not have time to agree on a solution in time to avoid a government shutdown.

Unfortunately, the video of the discussion is not able to be embedded, but you can check it out at C-SPAN here.

Government shutdown of US

Government shutdown of US have been on its stage of process. I'm sure if this happens many will really affected by this change. I hope they could hear the side of the people before they could have to arrive at a certain solution. As this, there's a lot of speculation about whether a government shutdown will occur if Congress fails to agree on budget proposals. If it happens, there are a lot of people that the move could have won some ideological points with. However, there are individuals that are likely to be harm by it. Government employees would feel much of the pinch. I read this here: Government emplyees to bear brunt of government shutdown
